When the twilight

shadows paint your silhouette

against your bedroom wall

When the night

descends and gently caresses

you like softly billowing satin sheets

When the days

tumble inconsolably into years

then into an eternity without you

When that eternity

stretches beyond my dying breath

until your soul resides in my heart
