Once miles and miles
\nof road stretched ahead of me
\nand every turn and hill
\nrepresented opportunity<\/p>\n
Now it’s just fading
\npictures and visions
\nin my memory<\/p>\n
Like a wristwatch
\nwith a mainspring
\nslowly unwinding
\nmy life is uncoiling<\/p>\n
Now the days unfold
\nlike a slow motion
